Tinwell Village Hall has installed multiple solar panels with inverter & batteries. The 7.92 kW array comprises of 18 x 440W panels. Planning permission was granted by RCC in February 2025. Installation took place on the 6th & 7th of March with the works undertaken by local firm Rutland Renewables. The system is expected to generate 6,837 kWh of clean electricity every year and save 1,452 kg CO2 of carbon. It is anticipated that his will result in a significant reduction in the running costs of the hall. Financial assistance for this project has been provided by the National Lottery Fund.
